Why are Collector's Edition items so vague?
I don't see why players would feel comfortable paying about $20-25 more for the Collector's Edition if ArenaNet doesn't bother to disclose any real details on what exactly each item is like. They showed what was in the first Collector's Edition. Why not for Factions? I would really like ArenaNet to give more details on what we're paying for. The *** items could use more detail.
2 game CDs

Double-sided poster: Map of Cantha and Factions Poster
Game Manual
Quick Reference Card
Art book
Desk Calendar***

you need an explanation about a mouse pad and calender? =0.o=
Calender would be a cardboard triangular prism shaped thing with dates, mousepad...well...I hope you know what it is.
Bonus music key, hmm now possibly this is for directsong, OR maybe you enter this key in to your account (like you did with the pre-order key) and in game you get more music. So the music is there perhaps in the game, but locked to most players unless they have the magical key?
Sticker set, well stickers, you want complete specifics like a sticker of Aidan, one of Devona, one of the Assassin they are 100 x 100 mm in shape they were made in China etc etc
In game dance is still a bit.... >_> <_< who knows, apparently when you dance in a combat zone you get back up dancers. 0.o lets wait and see

It's about what they look like. Anyways, not knowing how good the extras are, I'm just going with the standard edition.

Apparently because of fan boys like me, Anet already expects to sell out of CE.
So, why do they need to pimp it more?

I'm fan boy enough for even buying the Factions to add to GW. I'm not going to blindly spend an extra $20-25 unless they show what they're really offering. The game is pretty much the same in the end.

it might not sell out so wait until you see the results.
only a few days delay (none if store bought) and you get what you really want

CE or standard, the game is 99.9% the same. If I don't pre-order, then I'll miss out on the extra freebies. So there is no way to wait and see what the CE offers. I'm just going to pre-order the standard.

NOTE
simply preordering the game does not get you the goodies.
it has to be the SEPARATE preorder package which is shipped before the game comes out.
just placing a game preorder gets a copy of the game reserved for you and nothing more.

I know, and I have that pre-order package with my order. But they only ship that out to people that pre-oder the game. Otherwise, I wouldn't mind waiting for the game to come out to see if the extras are worth it. But since ArenaNet is so vague about it, I'm not blindly spending an extra $20-25 on essentially the same game.

And players shouldn't be confused as to what they're buying. Which is the point I'm making.

Let me get this straight, the make or break part of this deal is:
1. you want to know what the stickers look like
2. you want to know what the calendar looks like
3. you want to know what the mouse pad looks like
4. you want to know what the dances look like
5. you want to know what the music sounds like
So, for example, if the calendar and mouse pad looked awesome, you would buy it?

Actually, the main vague items of interest are 4 + 5, because they actually affect gameplay. For $20-25 more, they better show what I'm paying for, or I'm just getting standard.

no one is forcing you to buy it, do or don't dont get all bend out of shape about it.
im willing to take the chance for the dance emotes only. the rest is bonus for me, not to mention i'm always excited about something silly like a gw calendar or art book!!

I remember for Chapter 1, everyone was like "WTF Divine Aura? What kind of trickery is that!" I hopefully got Chap 2 CE's preorderd (Dances? What kind of trickery is that!) ... the guy at gamestop when I checked said I had the regular one PO'd, but they would set aside a CE if it comes in the store because noone minded to preorder them.
Beside that though, I'm pumped for Factions regardless! I'm coming back from spring break just in time for the pre-release, due to the trip ending a tad earlier. I was getting a bit nervous as I was looking at the calander for April ><;
See yall ingame though, CE or no CE.

I actually prefer my characters without the Divine Aura of the 1st CE. Not too fond of having sparklies coming from my characters' hands when I wanted to take screenshots of them in emotes. So that's part of the reason I'm hesitant to order Factions CE without knowing whether or not I like the different dance emotes.
